News for December, '08

First of all, Happy Holidays to everyone!!!  Peace on Earth to you all and may 2009 bring health, wealth and happiness to all.  We could all use some good vibes and better economic times for sure.  Oh, except for the greedy bastards who run the corporations that are failing miserably now and causing all this financial mess which is mostly detrimental to all the hard-working people who live month to month and don't get a multi-million dollar bonus for failure.  To all those corporate fat cats, I say FUCK YOU ALL!  May you spend your millions trying to cure a long, drawn out case of dysentery that eventually ends in your bleeding out on your yacht, crashing into an iceberg that has torn off from the global warming that your company has contributed to and drown an arms length away from a Greenpeace boat.

Now that I've ranted, here's an update on some stuff.
First of all, I finished shooting my role as "Commander Oleg" in the video game, "Red Alert 3: Command and Conquer".  The game has already been released for PC, but the session I worked on a few weeks ago is for the PS3 and XBOX.  It looks great.  I'll have some of the footage up on my youtube space in a few weeks.  Another video game that I worked on recently is doing HUGE in sales and has great reviews.  "CALL OF DUTY 5: World at War" in which I play "The Commissar" is quite a game.  Activision sent me a copy for my PS3 and it is amazing.  By the way, the music was composed by my good friend, Sean Murray and recorded in Prague.  Congrats to Sean for an incredible creation.
My episode of "Without a Trace" aired a couple weeks ago.."Push comes to Shove" was the name of the episode, for those of you who might want to check it out online at CBS.COM.  I show up in the last 20 minutes of the show in two scenes.  It was a cool episode and I'm happy with the editing as well.
Next on my list are several films and a few TV shows.  All are pending, so there's no use in naming them, but I'll post something when the contracts are signed.

Cheers,

DD

What's New with DD in October/November

Well, first of all I'd like to congratulate Barrack Obama and Joe Biden on a successful campaign.  I voted for you with the hope that the class, thoughtfulness and wisdom you both showed during the race translates to the policy changes that America needs to redefine our place in the world and our security at home, both of which have been horribly mishandled in the last eight years.  It's a HUGE job, but I think things will be so much better now that we have someone with a brain and a soul to match in the whitehouse.  Go OBAMA and BIDEN.
Secondly and significantly less important are some things I've been doing lately that you will be able to see in the near future.  First, I'm going to be guest starring on "Without a Trace" on CBS on November 18th.  The episode is called, "push comes to shove".  I'll be voicing the role of the Russian Commissar on "Call of Duty 5: world at war", which will be out on 11/11/08.  Soon after that, I'll be both on camera and voicing the role of "OLEG" in the video game by E.A. called, "Red Alert 3."  Presently I'm working on the video game by Activision, "Wolfenstein" which is another WWII video game.
I've had a lot of friends emailing me about getting the DVD of "Indiana Jones 4" and enjoying seeing the guy they used to hang out with at college or highschool or go snake/alligator and lizard hunting with back in the day in Florida.  Thanks for your emails.  I haven't seen the DVD yet, but I hear that I'm in some of the "Making of" parts, so I look forward to getting it soon and putting up the "diner scenes and chase scenes" on my website/youtube.
That's all for now.

Peace,

DD

Get educated, America!!!

Jesus H. Christ.....has anyone seen the video clips of this idiot, Sarah Palin, being interviewed, off book, in Michigan?  It's worth a trip to www.crooksandliars.com....where there is a whole bunch of information on just how stupid both the republican presidential candidates are.  I seriously cannot understand how anyone with half a brain could vote for a McCain/Palin ticket.  These two and their pathetic campaign managers just out-right lie about everything.  They never answer any question with any specificity.  Matt Damon's commentary on the absurdity of Palin being one "McCain fall in the shower" away from being president of the USA is perfect.  This little, spiteful, ignorant hockey mom with absolutely no experience with anything that is crucial to the future of the U.S. will have her finger on the war button that apparently GOD is guiding.  COME ON, people! How stupid can you be?  Just the fact that McCain and her got this far makes America look like a bunch of morons.  It is bad enough that these two are so ignorant about worldly affairs or even geography, but they far surpass the idiot meter max by lying through their teeth about what they know and what they will do to solve our many problems.  Then they have the audacity to call Barrack Obama an elitist?  You both deserve a smack....Obama is a perfect example of the American Dream.  He is multi-racial, was raised by a single mother and his grandparents, came from nothing and became something through hard work, determination and strength of character.  Furthermore, he's articulate and intelligent enough to know what he doesn't know and go out and remedy that deficiency with action instead of basking in ignorance much like a pig in it's own excrement, like McCain/Palin do.  His trip to Europe is a classic example of his dedication to his future job as president.  He came up as many Americans did....the hard way and blazed a path to success without the padding of privileged family.  McCain/Palin and the whole RNC have a lot of nerve calling him an elitist.  I can't wait until the debates start up so I can watch Obama and Biden tear McCain and Palin into shreds.  They have NO SHOT at winning any debate with a highschool debate team, let alone the polish, intelligence and brutal honesty of Biden and Obama.  I just hope that all the people who somehow are planning to vote for the idiots, McCain and Palin will listen and realize that there is no other choice but Obama/Biden for the white house.  After the landslide victory for Obama/Biden, McCain and his arm-ornament wife can go get an accurate count on their houses, play shuffle board and take square dancing lessons.....Palin can go back to Alaska and watch the Russians flipping her off from her front porch and hopefully take some public speaking classes where she learns to use complete sentences.  Please go visit www.crooksandliars.com....educate yourself.

RNC = LOL

After witnessing the incredible gathering of forward-thinking, intelligent and informed fans of Obama/Biden last week in Denver, I can see how the RNC has a horrible case of penis envy.  When you compare the brilliance of every speaker and their poignant delivery of their speeches and the 85,000 enthusiastic supporters to the road-side carnival of ego-maniacs and disinformation panhandlers from the last two nights of the RNC's attempt at a rally, it's laughable on many levels.
First of all, it's so evident that most of America has had enough of the lies and deception that the current administration has tried to stuff down our throats for the past eight years.  The "magic show" is over and we all know the way you link your "Chinese Rings" together.  So what the GOP strategists suggested was to bring in a  "Hottie" to be the assistant to the magician.  Perhaps she'd add some distraction from the old, tired tricks.  Well, last night was a great example of the fact that you can put a new coat of paint on a Pinto, but it is still a Pinto.
Obama has conducted himself with class, depth, genuine concern for this country and the people who have suffered greatly from the past eight years of gang-raping...financially, emotionally, mentally, etc..  This man is such an amazing soul who is prepared for the role of leadership of a country mislead by the republican propaganda machine that he cannot be touched by any of the simple-minded arguments that the RNC tries to make.  The tone and insolent comments made in reference to Obama's service and qualifications were so adolescent that I thought I was hearing a warm-up act of questionable comedic design and flavor.  Instead it was a highschool beauty queen with half a brain reading from pages of a badly written speech, created by another half-brained republican.  Furthermore, whenever any reporter asked an RNC spokesperson to list anything specific that Palin has done, they had absolutely no response that answered the question.  She's done NOTHING in her brief time in public service that has shown anything other than a huge ego and an equal amount of ignorance.  Just a few examples of this glorified sorority house-master:  Referring to the Iraq War as "God's task"; wanting creationism taught in public schools; her stance on abortion choice; trying to get books banned from the library...????? and threatening to fire the librarian who refused to remove these "evil" books.  This kind of ignorance has no place in government, especially during such volatile times.  If she wants to engineer society within her limited views and stunt the growth of this generation and the ones to follow, let her do it in her own home.....it seems to have worked wonderfully so far for her.  Palin shouldn't act like she is ready to step into a globally important role of the U.S. government and be able to handle the tasks that are so crucial to this country and the world when she can't even deliver a speech with any depth or insight into the issues that truly matter to us all.
In closing, actions speak louder than words and the republican's actions have rested their case.  The best thing for Palin and McCain to do now is SHUT UP and take what the jury is going to give them.....a thumbs down.  The end of republicans in the white house is coming soon.  Rational thought and wisdom will reign soon and rebuild the respect and admiration that the world once had for us when we practiced what we preached.  Palin can then go back to Alaska and continue chasing bears off of her citizens' property at 3am.  I just hope for the bears' sake she chooses LIFE.

What's New with DD

Well, it's been a while since I've sat down and written anything regarding the latest, current events going on with me, so here is the latest.
First, I'm anxiously awaiting the air-dates for two big TV shows on which I play nice guest star roles.  The episode entitled, "push comes to shove" is going to be the second new show of the season on "Without a Trace."  In it I play a Russian bookie/collections guy named Yuri Ovsenko.  This episode should air sometime in late September or early October 2008.  Second is another guest star on the highly anticipated new NBC drama, "My Own Worst Enemy", starring Christian Slater.  This show will be a HIT.  I can sense it.  The writing is great and the director is a real man's man with a great sense of reality and authenticity.  Incase you haven't seen the commercials for it, it is about a black ops American agent who has two distinct personalities that are controlled by his bosses.  One is a normal guy with a family and a mundane job and the other is a highly trained "Jason Bourne - type" operative who goes out on missions across the world and comes back to his mundane life as if nothing happened due to his scientifically altered dual personality.  In this show I play the character "Goldteeth" and my partner in crime is played by my good friend and fabulous actor Mark Ivanir from "The Good Shepherd".  Christian Slater was a joy to work with as well.  He is a very genuine guy and I wish him success in this show and other projects he may do in the future.
In other news, I've been doing a lot of voice over work for video games.  Most recently I have played the role of The Russian Commissar in the internationally acclaimed war game, "Call of Duty 5."  I also played Commander Oleg in the E.A. war game, "Red Alert 3."  In this game I'm actually on camera too, which is a different experience as a voice over actor.  Both these games are due out around Christmas time this year.
The dark comedy movie, "Remarkable Power" that I shot a few years ago is still showing at film festivals around the U.S. and getting great reviews.  Infact it will be showing the last night of the Southern California Film Festival in Huntington Beach, California on September 13th at 6pm.  In this film I co-star with Tom Arnold, Kevin Nealon, Chris Titus and Kip Pardue.  I play "IVAN" the annoyed porn director and one of my original solo guitar compositions is in the soundtrack.

Trip to Monte-Carlo, South France

Well, I'm back from a fantastic trip to the most exclusive place I've ever been in my life.  Monte-Carlo is an awesome place.  From the moment I arrived in front of the Hotel de Paris I was greeted by 40 or so paparazzi, calling me by name and a bunch of Indiana Jones fans with photos of me, wanting autographs, which I signed happily.  David Tomatis, the organizer was a great guy and Sandrine who also facilitated our getting where we had to get to...e.g. the Ministry of State building, the Palace of Prince Albert II and the Germaldi Convention Center, was on the top of her game.  I especially dug the Irish Pub that became my more laid back hang where I didn't have to wear a tie and suit, McCarthy's Pub.  During my four day stay I met lots of stars from TV shows from the USA and Europe, did seven interviews with international entertainment media and had a great red carpet walk/interview session with my two lady friends, Crystal Allen and Eleni Tzimas, both international models and great company.  I look forward to going again next year and perhaps playing a little guitar at the closing show.  The only thing I regret is not diving into the ocean which was very enticing.  I did, however get to dine at The Blue Note bar and grill and watch Russia vs Greece in the Euro-Cup soccer match.  GO RUSSIA!!!

That's all for now.

INDIANA JONES 4 ROCKS!!!!!

Well, the big one is finally out in theaters worldwide.  I've seen it three times....once at the press screening, then at the cast and crew screening and at the famous Arclight Dome in Hollywood with about 50 Florida State University alumnis and some LA friends..e.g. actors, directors, writers and fans.  It was a hit!!!  I'm real happy with the way the movie came out.  Steven Spielberg and George Lucas hit the nail on the head in every aspect of the film.  They are true masters of the craft of movie making.  I was also quite happy with my scenes.  I looked pretty suave in my custom made three-piece suit, circa 1950's and loved the diner scene where I approach Indy and Mutt and tell them they will come with us with the letter/map to the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.  The brawl that broke out was sooooo classic.  I also got a huge laugh from the audience when the anti-communist signs were hitting me during the end of the chase scene.  I laughed too....that's exactly what Steven and I were going for when discussing that shot.  I love it when a plan comes together.
So, I've done about fifteen interviews for print..e.g. The Daily Variety, Backstage West, Fancast.com, etc.  and two on-camera interviews with TV Guide Network's "Hollywood 411" and Reelz Channel, "One on One".  The Hollywood 411 interview can be seen online at (http://www.veoh.com/videos/v12025877sydSrhZF)..and I'll eventually have it on my site under the soon to be added "PRESS" button.  Other projects are starting to roll in as well, both T.V. pilots, guest stars and feature films.  All very cool.  The coolest thing so far is that I have been invited to Monte Carlo in South France to be a guest for the International T.V. Festival in June.  I'll be going with my publicist, Charles Sherman, and doing some interviews for entertainment media from around the world.  The last night I am told will be a gala black tie event at the Prince of Monaco's castle, honoring the great TV producer/writer, Dick Wolf.  I am truly honored and excited to be in the company of such great entertainment giants.  What a time it will be.  I'll take some pictures and a few little video clips and will share them with you all on my website.  Shots from the topless beaches I will keep in my own private photo album....Ha Ha!
That's all for now.  Much more to come.

What's New with DD

Well, today is the beginning of a busy week, destined to be epic.  Yesterday afternoon I went to see Indiana Jones IV at Paramount Studios.  It was screened three times yesterday for press, mainly.  I joined my publicist, agent and manager for the screening, which was a packed house.  Indiana Jones IV ROCKS!!!  What a great film!!  Steven Spielberg did an outstanding job with all elements of the film.  The acting was great, the special effects, breathtaking, the story went to a place that is very thought provoking and the comical aspect was very well done.  I would give it a 9.5 out of 10.0. The only reason I didn't give it a TEN is because my role wasn't bigger...LOL.  Actually most of what I did in the movie is in the final cut.  I can't say enough about how enjoyable it is and  how relieved I am that it turned out so great.  Not that I doubted Steven and George and Frank/Kathlene with being able to treat it like a baby.  This film was jam packed with A-list talent from top to bottom, so the result is pretty clear.
This past week I worked on the CBS show, "without a trace" as a guest star, "Yuri Ovsenko", a Ukrainian gangster who collects debts the hard way.  It will air next fall as the second episode of the year. The picture you see is how I end up at the end of the episode......DAMN!, I should have ducked.
